I love the noodley, math-rocky middle section of See Ya Later, and it’s probably the only reason I set it as my favorite. This whole album is solid af, and easily a 10/10.
I’m so sad to just now be getting into this genre of music. I happened upon it while listening to music on YouTube at work. For whatever reason, the YouTube algorithm decided Merchant Ships’ For Cameron should follow a Modest Mouse album I was listening to and I fell in love. William Bonney followed it directly afterward, and I immediately had to find and buy all the music I could find for either (as well as an unrelated, Alabama-based emo band, Camping in Alaska). It’s been a while since I got this into a band, much less 3 simultaneously. If anyone has any other recommendations, please reach out and let me know! Heath Brown
